What is a client status page?
A client status page is a public project page your clients access without creating an account. They open a link and see exactly what you choose to show them: task completion progress, individual task statuses, upcoming deadlines, and a live message thread with your team.
Most agencies send a weekly status update email. The problem: it is a snapshot. By the time the client reads it, the situation has changed. They reply with questions your team has already answered internally. The email thread gets long, context gets lost, and someone spends 30 minutes every Friday writing a report that took 10 minutes of actual progress to warrant.
A public status page replaces that entire loop. The client bookmarks the link, checks it when they want, and messages your team directly in the thread.
How the Status Page works in Melororium
Each project has a Status Page tab. Toggle it on and a unique URL is generated immediately. You choose which tasks appear on the page and whether assignee names and deadlines are visible. Add a team message — a pinned update at the top of the page — that the client sees when they open it.
The client opens the link with no account. They type a name in the chat and start messaging. Messages appear in your team's Status Page tab in real time. An unread badge shows in the project navigation so nothing gets missed.
The page updates as your team moves tasks forward. When a task moves to Done, the client sees it. No email, no screenshot, no update call.
Who this template is for
Agencies that send weekly status updates will cut that routine to zero. Design studios managing revision rounds with multiple client stakeholders can share one link per project instead of separate email threads per person. Project managers replacing Basecamp's client portal get the same visibility with no extra tool.
Status Page vs. a shared project view
A shared project view gives the client access to the full Kanban board — every task, every comment, every internal note. The Status Page shows only what you choose. Internal tasks stay internal. The client sees a curated view of progress, not the full project workspace.
