What is a team sentiment tracker?

A team sentiment tracker is a system that periodically asks team members how they're feeling about their work, aggregates the responses into a score, and tracks that score over time to surface patterns. It turns a vague intuition ("I think the team seems stressed lately") into a measurable signal ("team sentiment has dropped from 7.8 to 5.4 over the past three weeks").

For agencies and studios, sentiment data is early warning for three expensive problems: burnout, disengagement, and voluntary turnover. A team member who leaves costs roughly 50-200% of their annual salary in recruitment, onboarding, and lost institutional knowledge. Catching the slide early is far cheaper than replacing the person.

How sentiment tracking works in Melororium

Melororium's Sentiment module sends a configurable weekly check-in to each team member — 5 questions on a numeric scale, plus an optional comment field. Responses aggregate into a team dashboard showing individual trend lines and team averages by week. AI-generated insights flag anomalies: a team member whose score dropped 2+ points consecutive weeks gets flagged for a 1:1 conversation.

Team members can also submit anonymous reports and comments, visible in the Comments tab. Managers see the comments without knowing who submitted them — preserving psychological safety while surfacing issues that wouldn't surface in a direct conversation.

What this template includes

The Team Sentiment Tracker template configures the weekly check-in with 5 pre-built questions: work satisfaction, manager support, priority clarity, workload balance, and a one-item eNPS. All questions are editable. The check-in schedule is set to weekly — adjustable to biweekly if the team prefers.

The dashboard shows: current week team average, 12-week trend chart, individual score history (with privacy controls), and AI insight summary.

Team sentiment tracker vs. annual engagement surveys

Annual engagement surveys measure how people felt over the past year. By the time you get the results, the problems are 6-12 months old and the people who were most unhappy may have already left. Weekly sentiment check-ins surface problems in real time — when there's still time to act.

An agency running annual surveys and quarterly 360s spends $3-8k/year on HR software for that function. Melororium Sentiment is included in the Agency and Studio plans — $59/mo or $119/mo flat for the whole team.

3-4 minutes to complete 5 questions and an optional comment. Low friction is essential — check-ins that take longer get skipped.

Individual scores are visible to managers with privacy controls. Comments can be submitted anonymously. Configure per your team's preference.

Sentiment is an add-on module available with Agency ($59/mo, 10 users) and Studio ($119/mo, 25 users) plans.

Weekly for teams at risk of burnout or going through high-workload periods. Biweekly works well for stable teams. Monthly is too infrequent to catch problems early, sentiment drops usually signal issues 4-6 weeks before they affect retention.
